Hello Apple Country!

November 15, 2009

For my first official post of this blog, I think I should make it about something different, that I don’t do every day.  So today, my mother, boyfriend and I drove to Apple Country which is a place in California with TONS of apple orchards that all have craft shows and food for miles.  It’s an amazing place, really.  The air is so fresh, the food is delicious and real. There is nothing better than freezing your butt off in the middle of some forested hills and then taking a big bite of fresh, hot apple pie.  The drive from Methdesto to Apple Country takes about 2 hours but it’s actually a really pretty drive.  I tend to get carsick on windy roads, so for about 30 minutes of the drive I was trying to relax myself.  Other than that, it was amazing.  It was Ridge’s first time there and at first I didn’t think he would like it.  It’s pretty artsy and he’s not into health foods, but he actually enjoyed it.  He ate a LOT of pork, which is a big thing out there.  We looked at gift shops and I even bought Kermit a little red corduroy jacket.  It’s so cute, I can’t wait to give it to him.

Being out in the fresh air really cleared my head.  I’ve been trying to start this blog for a few days now, but every time I go to write something I end up feeling totally blocked.  But now that we are back, I feel relaxed and fresh.  I ate WAY too much today, but I always over-eat on the weekends.  Once the week starts back up, I’ll be right back to my normal diet of oatmeal, pasta and chicken.  I’ve got homework for one of my classes but I don’t know what to do so I’m waiting on a text message from a friend.  Until then, I’ve got to read up on how to blog.  If anyone out there has some tips, PLEASE feel free to send them to me via comments or the contact page in the header.  That would really help me out A LOT.  I’m going to finally edit my About page and add in some important information, so I hope you guys can learn more about me soon.

Before I go, don’t forget – An apple a day keeps the doctor away!
